With the momentum carrying into the extra period, it didn’t take long for the game to be decided, as Logan Vande Meerakker fired a powerful slap shot into the net just nine seconds into overtime, sealing the victory and earning the Wildcats the extra point in dramatic fashion.


Game 2: Raiders 2–5 Wildcats


The Wildcats followed up with another strong performance on the road to secure a four-point weekend, starting the game brightly and building an early 3–0 lead. The Raiders responded well and showed resilience to fight their way back to within a single goal, setting up a tense finish. However, the Wildcats regained control in the third period, with Tyler Watkins scoring an important goal to restore a more comfortable cushion. From there, they managed the game well and saw out the win, capping off an impressive weekend with back-to-back victories.
