The Cats made it back-to-back shutouts against the Bees with a 3-0 win on home ice with Tyler Perre having a brilliant game.

The perfect weekend was then completed with a hard fought 4-2 victory in Dumfries against the Solway Sharks.

Friday night match report: Wildcats Vs Bees

It was a fast start from the Wildcats who scored an early goal through Balint Pakozdi. The puck was initially saved by Dean Skinns but Pakozdi jumped on the rebound and backhanded it into the top corner. Perre was then called into action and made a massive save to deny Ralfa Circenis. Skinns then also made a big save to deny Wells at the back door.

The second period was short of chances with Tyler Plews getting the puck of the bunch as his effort was saved in the slot by Skinns. As the game went on the more desperate it got for both teams to get the next goal. Then Cats then got a power play opportunity with ten minutes to go and Jake Bricknell skated the length of the ice and buried it through Skinns legs. Former Bee Ed Bradley then put the icing on the cake with a snipe into the top corner.

End of the game: Wildcats 3-0 Bees

Saturday Night Match Report: Sharks Vs Wildcats

The home side gave away a penalty within 10 seconds and the Cats would capitalise with Vanya Antonov receiving a pass and slotting it through Jordan Marr. Solway then got into more penalty trouble and it would be a lovely worked goal from Chris Jones who doubled the lead. It would be a period of positively for the Cats special teams as they killed a penalty as well.

Jones then scored his second on another power play with a shot roofed into the back of the net to give the Cats a three goal lead. The Sharks then picked up a bit of momentum with a huge 5 on 3 penalty kill. And with just six seconds left of the 2nd period, Nolan Gardiner fired a loose puck towards goal and it snuck in past Renny Marr.

The next goal was a big one and it would go to the Wildcats with the best goal of the night. Pakozdi and Bricknell linking up well together with Jake finishing the move off with a back hand shot finding the top corner. The Sharks would get one back with a lovely finish from John Dunbar to try give the Sharks some hope. However with some big penalty kills and blocks from all the d-men, the Cats got over the line and secured a big two points on the road to complete the four-point weekend.

End of the game: Sharks 2-4 Wildcats
