It was the perfect home performance on Saturday with the Swindon Wildcats shutting out the Romford Raiders 7-0. However they Cats fell to a 3-2 defeat in Telford to the Tigers on Sunday.
Renny Marr signed a two-year extension and capped it off with a 29 save shutout and a man of the match performance.
Wildcats Vs Raiders: Match Report
The Wildcats started the game by killing a 5 on 3 with Wells, Billing and Jones making some big blocks. The Wildcats found a breakthrough with Bebris finding space in the slot and deflecting it into the net at 15:33. The Cats then doubled their lead on the power play with Bricknell feeding Nell who fired it past James at 17:29. Just over a minute later, Bricknell shot straight from the face-off into the top corner.
Bebris then scored his second of the game with a slapshot sneaking past Rider at 25:11. Bricknell also then got his second of the night as he redirected the puck into the net at 32:48. Just 11 seconds later it was then six with Sayers firing top corner past Rider.
It was a professional shutdown period from the Wildcats to kill the game off. Some big penalty kills and solid saves from Marr to stop the Raiders scoring. Malasinski then finished the game off with a lovely move past Dewey and fired it top corner.

Tigers Vs Wildcats: Match Report:
It was an extra fast start for the Tigers with Howells finding some space and firing it low past Marr into the net just 51 seconds in. The Tigers then piled on the pressure and created some good chances but Marr stood strong the rest of the period.
The second period was much better from the Cats, creating many chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. The Tigers then got a power play opportunity early in the third and Mitchell-King doubled the lead with a wrist shot finding its way in from the point. Just a few minutes later, Mitchell-King scored his second as its squeezed through Marr. Bricknell got the Wildcats on the board with a wrist shot finding its way past Day at 50:35. Malasinski scored and got within one with 21 seconds left remaining but it wasn’t enough as the home side took home the victory.
