What is the 200 Club?
We’re asked that question every month so we thought we’d tell you. The 200 Club is a game that everyone can play, and its purpose is to raise money for the hockey club. It’s been around for over 8 years and every month we pay out 3 cash prizes. To explain it in simple terms, the 200 Club is like the 50/50 but it’s a monthly competition, not a weekly draw.
This is how it works in a bit more detail. The 200 Club is managed by the Supporters Club and runs throughout the year, every month without fail. Players buy a number, there are 200 numbers in total and each number costs £5.00. Everyone who plays keeps the same number and they pay by standing order direct into the Supporters Club bank account. Every month we draw 3 winners (normally around mid-month), we do this using an online spinning wheel and we share the results on email with everyone who plays. The total prize fund is 50% of the money we collect, and this is split between the 3 winners. 1st prize wins 60% of the prize fund, 2nd prize wins 25% of the prize fund, 3rd gets 15% and all prizes are paid by bank transfer to the winners bank account. We haven’t forgotten about the other 50%, that goes directly to supporting the team, thereby representing regular income for the club throughout the year.
The 200 Club is open to everyone, it doesn’t matter if you’re a member of the Supporters Club or not, it’s for all Wildcats fans who want to do a little something to support the club.
Has this got you interested? We hope so. A word of warning though, many people like to choose their numbers based on their favourite players shirt numbers. Sorry to say but most, if not all of these have been taken, but there are still plenty of numbers left so don’t let this dissuade you from joining in. If all 200 numbers were ‘sold’ each month, then this would generate £6,000 a year for the hockey club – that’s a massive number and will be put to good use to support the team we all care about.
If you want to know more about the 200 Club or if you want to sign up and be in the
