This Sunday the Swindon Wildcats face their southern rivals the Bristol Pitbulls! This will be the first clash of the NIHL season after playing eachother in pre-season. Here is one player to watch from each team.

Swindon Wildcats: Ryan Wells

Our number #12 has been phenomenal since he joined the the team in the summer. He became our first import defensemen since the return of the NIHL and has made such a big impact on the team. Him and Ed Bradley have created a great partnership on that top line. Last weekend Ryan scored his first Wildcats goal and added a further three points making it a four point night. But the most impressive part about his game is his defensive skills he brings every game. Being able to shut the top guys down for any opposition team. Ryan is definitely someone you should watch out for this Sunday .

Bristol Pitbulls: Bayley Harewood

At just 21 years-old, Bayley has established himself as the main man for the Bristol Pitbulls. He currently has a two-way deal with the Cardiff Devils in the Elite League and has had a very impressive start for the Pitbulls. He has scored 18 points in just 12 games for the Pitbulls and last weekend he recorded two goals against Milton Keynes and added a further three assists across the weekend. He is one of the most talented players in the league and there are not many players in the league who can control and stick handle a puck like Harewood. He is someone the Wildcats are going to have to try and keep quiet on Sunday.
