With no game at home this weekend for the Swindon Wildcats, they face two tough tests up north.
It’s starts on Saturday as the Cats face the Dogs in Sheffield. The two teams have already faced off against each-other with the Dogs taking a 3-1 victory in Swindon, however the Cats were missing Malasinski and Nell who will be playing this weekend.
Walker Sommer has been a nightmare for teams in the NIHL to face and he scored twice for the Dogs earlier in the season in their 3-1 win. Sam Tremblay is also someone the Cats need to be aware of as he scored two goals last Sunday against the Raiders including the overtime winner.
The Cats on the other hand go into this game after securing 5/6 points in their three game weekend. Balint Pakozdi has comes into this weekend having scored 4 goals and adding 2 assists last weekend. There were also 11 different scorers for the Wildcats last weekend showing the quality depth which the team has got.
Then on Sunday the Wildcats face the Hull Seahawks who have struggled a bit at home recently. They have lost their last two games so they will be coming out firing to get back to winning ways. It is also their only game this weekend so they would have spent a lot of time preparing. However last time out the Wildcats did defeat them in overtime at the link centre just two weeks ago.
A player to watch out for the Seahawks is the currently top point scorer of the league, Owen Sobchak who leads the league with 47 points. Svec has also got back on the scoresheet after netting twice last Sunday against Solway.
It’s going to be a tough road trip for the Wildcats but after some positive results last weekend they will go into these two games with a lot of confidence.
