The Swindon Wildcats put on a dominant display on Saturday 6th December at The Link Centre, running out 10-1 winners over the visiting Solway Sharks.


From the opening minutes, the Wildcats set the tone. Ryan Wells opened the scoring at 03:45, followed swiftly by Chris Jones just 23 seconds later. Logan vande Meerakker added his name to the scoresheet at 06:20, and Dylan Lipsey made it four goals before the first period was even half over. Joshua Shaw struck at 17:18, before Chris Jones netted his second of the night at 22:06.


The Wildcats’ power play was lethal, with vande Meerakker scoring on the man advantage at 26:02, before Glenn Billing added another at 27:31 to send Swindon into the intermission with a commanding lead.


Solway Sharks managed a lone goal midway through the second period, courtesy of Jonathan Yantsis at 35:42, but it was a mere consolation. Swindon responded in emphatic fashion in the third period. Logan vande Meerakker completed his first professional hat-trick at 41:12, before Ryan Wells wrapped up the scoring at 49:29, sealing a comprehensive 10-1 victory.


It was a night of attacking excellence for the Wildcats, with multiple players contributing to a performance that delighted the home fans and sent a clear message to the rest of the league.
