Match Report: Swindon Wildcats 3 – 1 Solway Sharks

The Swindon Wildcats secured a solid 3–1 victory over the Solway Sharks, delivering a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
The opening goal came early in the first period, with Logan Vande Meerakker finding the back of the net at 03:46. Assisted by Billing and Bebris, the Wildcats set the tone for a dominant display.
Despite several chances from both sides, the second goal didn’t come until the middle of the second period. With Solway down a man, Swindon capitalised on the power play, as Chris Jones converted at 36:39. The goal, assisted by Griffiths and O’Connor, gave the Wildcats a two-goal cushion.
Swindon continued to control the pace, and their persistence paid off once again in the third period. Tyler Watkins added a third for the home side with an unassisted effort at 49:02, further extending their lead.
Solway showed resilience and denied the shutout with a late goal at 56:55. Carter Hamill found the net with assistance from Buesa and Arseneau, but it proved to be only a consolation as the clock wound down.
The Wildcats’ disciplined play and clinical finishing earned them a well-deserved win.
