The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are thrilled to confirm the return of #71, Edgars Bebris, for the 2026/27 NIHL season.
The Latvian is entering his 9th season in Swindon, where, memorably last year, he contributed massively towards the league championship the Wildcats lifted in March.
Last year, as a forward, Eddie put the team first and covered defensively when Ben O’Connor was injured early in 2026.
Over the course of the season, he added 36 points in 53 regular-season games, with a further 5 points in 7 playoff games.
Eddie Bebris, ahead of the 2026/27 season, adds:
"I'm really happy to be back in Swindon for another year. Winning the league last year was fantastic, and Aaron’s putting together a strong team to defend the title next year.
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be playing hockey next year!"
Head Coach Aaron Nell said:
"Eddie is a huge part of this team, and we are incredibly lucky to have him in Swindon. He is a great character in our locker-room and a true professional on the ice.
He can really play anywhere on the ice, and he puts the team first as he did last year when Ben went down. He is such a strong player and battles incredibly hard along the boards.
We’re super excited to have him in our lineup again when the title defence kicks off in September!"
