The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are thrilled to complete our import lineup for the new season with the arrival of Tyler Watkins from Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in the Erste Liga in Hungary.

Tyler, a 25-year-old Forward from the USA, played all his hockey in America before moving to Hungary last year. His college days saw him ice for Union College in the NCAA where he posted 51pts in 105 games, wearing an A in his final year there.

Last year in Hungary he was the joint top scorer on his team and is coming Swindon with an eye to continue his scoring touch.

Head Coach Aaron Nell had the following to say after securing Tyler’s signature:

We wanted to patient this year with our imports and doing this has allowed us to bring a player in like Tyler. He is a speedy forward with a good shot who I think will be a big part of our top 6.

I’m excited to work with Tyler and I think he will bring some scoring to our line up.

With Tyler joining Tomasz and Logan up front and Ryan back on D I’m extremely happy with the imports we’ve been able to recruit this year and we’re looking forward to getting underway in September!
