Last Saturday’s clash between the Swindon Wildcats and the Telford Tigers wasn’t just about points on the board; it was about spreading joy. In one of the most heart-warming nights of the season, Wildcats supporters turned the Link Centre into a sea of flying bears as they took part in the club’s annual Teddy Bear Toss.

And what a response it was.

The moment the Wildcats scored their opening goal, the stands erupted as an incredible 425 teddy bears rained down onto the ice. From tiny teddies to giant plush characters, fans of all ages threw with enthusiasm, filling the rink with colour and kindness.

All donated bears have been gifted to Barnardo’s, helping ensure children supported by the charity receive a comforting cuddly companion this Christmas. The generosity shown by the Swindon community once again highlighted the power of sport to bring people together for a good cause.
