On Saturday night the Wildcats fell short to the Sheffield Steeldogs losing 4-1 at the Link Centre. Then on Sunday night the Cats battled hard in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Telford Tigers.

Tomasz Malasinski picked up his 100th point of the season on Sunday night still sitting as leading point scorer of the league.

Swindon Wildcats Vs Sheffield Steeldogs match report:

After a very back fourth first period the Dogs scored late in the first through Lee Haywood as he latched onto a loose puck and fired past Marr at 17:15.

End of the first period: Wildcats 0-1 Steeldogs

The Wildcats came out better in the second period and secured a powerplay goal through Aaron Nell who slap shot the puck into the top corner past Zimozdra. After a period of penalty killing from both teams it would come down to the final period.

End of the second period: Wildcats 1-1 Steeldogs

Despite a lot of Wildcats pressure it would be the Dogs who scored next with Charlie Thompson breaking away and slotting the puck past Marr at 50:35.

The Cats threw everything at it pulling Marr for an extra skater, but Zimozdra stood strong in the Sheffield net. Hewitt and Buesa scored empty net goals to secure the 4-1 victory for the Dogs.

Swindon Wildcats Vs Telford Tigers match report:

The Tigers took the lead through a goal from Tom Carlon at 3:57. However with the Tigers getting into penalty trouble, the Cats took full advantage with two quick goals, firstly from Nell who found the net at 14:53 and then Bebris who fired it past Day at 18:59.

End of the first period: Wildcats 2-1 Tigers

The home side hit straight back at the start of the second through Robert Herrman on the powerplay at 20:54. But the Cats retook the lead through Balint  Pakozdi who slotted it past Day at 29:42.

However the Tigers tied it all up again as Carlon picked up his second of the game at 30:15. Just under two minutes later Nell scored to give the Cats a lead again in the period. But after a back and fourth period Telford equalised for the third time in the period through Vladimir Luka at 34:58.

End of the second period: Wildcats 4-4 Tigers

Youngster Sam Watkins gave the home side the lead early into the final period and it looked like that would be the winner however with just six seconds to go, Nell tied the game up once again to send it to overtime.

End of the third period: Wildcats 5-5 Tigers

The overtime period was very intense with both teams throwing everything at it, however it would be Herrman who flicked the puck past Skinns to give the Tigers the extra point.

End of the game: Wildcats 5-6 Tigers
