The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are delighted to announce that the first leg of the Autumn Cup Final with the Leeds Knights will be played on Friday 17th December @ 7:30PM at the Better Link Centre.

Aaron Nell and his team will take to home ice in the first leg of the final before travelling to Yorkshire on Thursday 23rd December for the returning and deciding leg.

After putting a run together at the end of the early rounds, the Wildcats secured fourth place in the table and then beat the Telford Tigers 12-7 on aggregate to seal a place in the final against Leeds.

The battles between both sides indicate this could be a very close match up with both sides getting wins against each other already in competitive fixtures.

Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

We’ve come a long way in this competition and we’re excited to get going against Leeds in the final. The Autumn Cup holds a special place in the hearts of our fans and it’s been 30 years since Richie Howe and his team won against the MK Kings. It would be a perfect way to remember the past by lifting the trophy.

However, standing in front of us is a team who will be very tough to play against. Hopefully we can pack out the Link Centre and then take a bumper crowd to Leeds for the second leg!

Season Ticket holders are reminded that their tickets do not include the first leg of the final but their seats will be reserved until 11th December at the pro rata price, before it will be released on general sale.
