Hey everyone,
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for me so apologies for not hearing from me until now!
Over the last couple of weeks things have been going relatively well for us. We had a little bump in the road when we took on the Steeldogs at home and then a tough defeat on the road in Telford, but we bounced back well last weekend.
Against the Phantoms I thought we grew into the game really well and in the third period we were unlucky to only score one goal! Jordan Marr was brilliant and he kept them in the game.
Going to Hull on Sunday I thought for many aspects we did a similar thing, we kept the game close when we needed too and scored some late goals to make the result probably look bigger than it was.
In particular, Renny was outstanding on Sunday and pulled off some big saves to stop Themar and Svec. We all know how good Emil can be!
Looking ahead to this weekend we’ve got Leeds and they’ll be desperate to win. We almost go into the game with no pressure on us, but we want to get a win on home ice. Getting close to the to playoffs means this big games are the ones we want to be playing in, so the boys are excited!
We’ve then got the trip to Raiders on Sunday and they’re looking to close the gap to us in 5th, so we have to be ready to play in both games this weekend.
