I hope you’ve had a good week?
Firstly, I’d like to say how proud of the team I am for getting through the last 6 games with the results we have had. Qualifying for the Autumn Cup Final is a brilliant feeling and I know how excited the team are to take on Leeds. We’re under no illusions and we know how difficult both those games will be, but these are the games everyone wants to play in.
In terms of the league, we’re in a good spot at the moment and we can be pleased with how we have started the season. This weekend will be another test for our team, Peterborough have had a difficult start to the season but are beginning to string some results together and are a hot team right now.
Sunday, in Sheffield, promises to be a really big game of hockey. We’re the top two sides in the league right now and we’ve not been able to get a win against them this year. With Jason Hewitt in their line-up, they have one of the best players in the league and we need to be smart against their forward line this weekend.
Other than the games I was really impressed with how Declan settled into the side this week, and after a few more games under his belt I’m sure we’ll see more from him.
