Hey everyone,
I hope you’re having a good week. It was a good weekend for us last week with a nice four-point weekend. The boys have been working hard in training over the last few weeks so it was nice for all of us to see that paying off last week.
I thought Saturday we started really well, which is something we’ve not done too often this year but it was important to get the weekend off on the right foot. Then on Sunday I personally felt that was one of our best performances of the season.
Missing Russ and Colby meant we had to re-jig the lines around a little bit but the boys bought in and were relentless across the ice. The third line contributed a massive goal in the third period and we quickly killed the game off from there.
I’d just like to say how pleased I’ve been with Jamie, Alfie and Dylan so far this year. They’ve all made their senior debuts and hopefully they’ll be big parts of the Wildcats in the years ahead.
Looking ahead to this weekend, we’ve got a Telford team with some new faces in it and then a trip to Bristol on Sunday.
It’s no secret to say our results against Bristol haven’t been what we wanted so far, so we need to find another big road performance on Sunday.
That said, Saturday night will be no easy game either so hopefully we’ll have another good week of training and then another four-point weekend is the aim!
