The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats can confirm that hockey has just got one week closer!

We’ll hit the ice on Saturday 4th September when we take on the Leeds Knights in the first pre-season challenge game of the 2021/22 NIHL Season. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to welcome fans to the Better Link Centre and with the confirmation of these two games we’re now just over one month away.

On the Sunday we’ll travel up to Yorkshire to take on the Knights in a return fixture. With Dave Whistle behind the bench and names such as Kieran Brown, Matty Davies and Cole Shudra on the Knights roster it promises to be an exciting weekend of hockey.

As we’d previously announced, our pre-season will be completed the following weekend with games against the Bees IHC at the Link Centre and a return fixture in Slough.

Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

“We’d been looking to source a second set of pre-season games and taking on Leeds will be a brilliant test for the team. Dave is building a very strong roster up there and they’re going to be fighting it out at the top of the table this season. I’m excited to see how we match up against them and these games will prove to be really important as we build up to the Cup starting in the middle of September.”

Tickets will be on sale in due course so please keep an eye out on our social media channels to get your tickets for our first game back!
