Head Coach Aaron Nell has praised the impact that local forward Loris Taylor has had on the team since his return to the side in 2018. It was announced this morning that the 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a 1-year contract extension ahead of the new season.

‘We were all surprised with the impact that Loris had when he returned to the side 2 years ago. Loris has always had skill and talent and he has turned into a very important player for us. It was a really easy decision to bring him back next year.

I think he’ll have a bigger impact on our team next year and I can’t wait to continue working with him at improving his game. He’s a great guy to have around the locker-room and he comes to play every night which is exactly the kind of personality we want in Swindon”.

Loris joins fellow Swindon-born players; Floyd Taylor, Stevie Whitfield, Sam Godfrey, Neil Liddiard and Aaron Nell on the roster for the new campaign. Something which Nell himself believes is great for the club.

“Having Swindon-born players icing for the Wildcats is part of the ethos we want at the club. The Wildcats of the future are the players we have in the academy and guys like those five know what playing for the Wildcats means. They love being a Swindon Wildcat and we hope they, along with the rest of the team, can inspire the Wildcats of future generations.

Later this afternoon, we’ll sit down for a signing interview with Loris, so stay tuned to swindonwildcats.com for the latest news from Loris!
