The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats would like to wish the best of luck to Toms Rutkis who has today confirmed his full-time move to the Dundee Stars in the EIHL.

Toms Swindon hockey career started when he moved here in the summer of 2013 where he joined the junior ranks before moving to the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

Since making his full debut in the 14-15 season Toms has gone on to ice in over 200 games and contributed over 125 points.

In recent seasons he’s split his time between the Wildcats and the Cardiff Devils, but this move to Dundee means he’ll be a full-time forward in the EIHL.

Head Coach Aaron Nell had the following to say following the announcement:

We are always happy when our players make the full-time jump to the Elite League. Toms has been a massive part of our team and I’m absolutely delighted for him. He’s worked so hard to get to the EIHL and I think Dundee is a great fit.

It goes without saying, Toms leaves with all our best wishes, and much like when Sam Jones left for Fife we all hope he has a successful year in Scotland.

As a club, we’d like to thank Toms for his efforts in the Swindon jersey and would like to thank Mfor Festival for his continued sponsorship in the last couple of years.
