Swindon Wildcats 2 are delighted to confirm that Ethan Easton and Jay Warren will be parts of the NIHL 2 side for the upcoming season.

Ethan a young defencemen joins the roster from the Swindon Cougars U18 team. In ten games last season he contributed 4 points from the blue-line with performances that have caught the eye of new Wildcats 2 Head Coach, Lee Richardson.

“Ethan is a big solid defenceman and has a very strong all-round game which will benefit us this season. He has a smart positional sense and reads the game really well. I have had good reports from his coaches from last year and I think he’ll be a really good addition to the team.

Meanwhile, Jay is a forward with bags of potential. Last season he captained the Swindon Cougars. In 14 games at U18 level he scored 47 points (15G, 32A) whilst also adding 22 points in 23 games for the NIHL 2 side last year.

During the New Year Challenge games with Bracknell Jay also played in the senior Wildcats side for the first time in his career.

“Jay is a player who comes to play every night. He brings a very high work rate and also lots of energy to the line-up. Jay wants to win, and he will work hard on every shift to put the team in the best position to do this. The way he plays suits how I want my team to compete perfectly and I cannot wait to start working with him in the next few weeks.”

Jay and Ethan join Reed Sayers and Mason Lipsey on the 19/20 NIHL 2 Roster, with more names being revealed in the coming days and weeks.
