As a club, we have been elated to hear about the joy the Spring Cup has brought to our fans, players, and staff during such a difficult time. We would like to share with you some of our key stats and successes that occurred during the tournament:

  • 424 shots on goal
  • 54 goals
  • 21 powerplay goals
  • 2 shorthanded goals
  • 373 saves
  • 132 penalties in minutes

In addition, none of this would have been possible without our behind-the-scenes team, managed by Covid Officer Dave Ridley, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

  • Over 500 Covid tests were conducted during the Spring Cup
  • Over 1.4K symptom check questionnaires were completed during the Spring Cup

As we all know, the pandemic has brought about many challenges for our fans, sponsors, and for us as a Club, however, the support we have received throughout has been overwhelming and we would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support.

Finally, we would like to share some of the great feedback we’ve had from our fans:

“Lovely gesture from the team but everyone at the club should be congratulated on giving us some hockey during this season. It certainly brightened up my weekend.”

“The streaming presentation has been excellent quality, thanks so much for giving us a little bit of hockey goodness in the apocalypse times. I think I’m going to miss the commentary and replays when we come back to watching live!”

“Excellent stream guys, congratulations to everyone involved.”

“Thank you @SwinWildcats and all the other teams and staff behind. Made me the happiest to finally have some hockey back. Hopefully won’t be too long before we can be back in the rink. @Raiders_IHC @SteeldogsIHC @Telford_Tigers @BeesIceHockey”

“We are normally Nottingham Panthers season ticket holders, but Swindon was where we first fell in love with ice hockey. The series has been excellent, well done to everyone involved my hubbie even won a t-shirt in your draw so he’s well chuffed.”

“Hope to make a visit down to The Link Centre when we can. Well done Wildcats.”

“No, thank you for playing well and bringing us exciting live hockey. Well done Wildcats.”
