Adult Hockey

We provide opportunity and ice time for people of all ages because we believe you’re never too old to start playing ice hockey. Whether you have played weekly for years, haven’t skated for a while or you have only been on the ice a few times in your life we have sessions which accommodate every type of player.

With weekly ‘Adult Learn to Play Ice Hockey sessions’ on a Tuesday in the winter at 11:30pm and £10 for an hour of ice, our coaches create a playing environment which is relaxed and designed to help steady your skating as well as improve your puck control before having the chance to take part in a fun scrimmage at the end of the session. We can provide a helmet, stick and gloves but you must bring your own skates. We advise completing a few hours on the ice before attending so that you understand your skill level. These sessions are

When you’re comfortable playing and training it’s time to be involved in a team and have some fun playing in regular matched for one of our recreational teams. The teams are set up so that no team is the same as the next and different from the last. If you’re a regular player who has years of experienced and is a competitive player we have a place for you, if you’re looking to have some fun against other players of a similar skill set to you who have only skated a few months there is also a spot within one of our rec’ teams. Girls hockey is a huge part of SWITC and something which continues to create successful stories season after season, these talented young ladies progress into our senior ladies team the Topcats. The Topcats have two teams, the first is in the Womens Premier league which is the second highest league in female British ice hockey, the other team then competes in the league below called the First Division.
