Ahead of the Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats getting back on the ice in August the club are able to confirm that Colby Tower and Gael Lubwele will not be returning to the team for the 2024/25 season.
Colby joined the club in the summer of 2022, before his former U Sports teammate Gael joined the team last summer from Basingstoke.
Both players have had a massive impact on the club in their time with the organisation and their efforts on and off the ice were greatly appreciated by everyone involved with the Wildcats.
Head Coach Aaron Nell had the following to say regarding the Canadian duo departing the team.
I’d like to personally thank Colby & Gael for their efforts in a Wildcats jersey. Last season was a memorable one for the organisation and their commitment to the team was fantastic. They’re both great people and we’d like to wish them well in the future.
News on their replacements will be announced soon as the Cats get ready for the new campaign!
