Ahead of this week’s action with the Bees and the Tigers, we’ve pencilled in 5 extra reasons why you need to be back at the Better Link Centre to watch the ice hockey this week!
- The talking point of our opening weekend was the Big Screen, with the replays available in the rink and much more exciting content planned in the coming games and weeks, its almost worth the price of the entry ticket on its own!
- Things are getting festive with less than a week to the big day, the boys will be skating out onto the ice with the elf-inspired Christmas Jerseys. There’s only one set of them, and with multiple chances to win it’s a perfect chance to work out which one you want!
- Probably the most important reason to be in the rink is the Teddy Bear Toss. This year we’re teaming up with the Salvation Army and we can’t wait to see the teddies fly when we get our first goal on Thursday night against the Bees! More information can be found here
- Both games this week also count towards the cup table, and we’re pushing for a place in the semi-finals! We need to win our remaining three games, and two of them are this week so the team need your support! Bring the noise, cheer them on and after a tough start to the season how good would a cup semi-final be?
- Lastly, Tomasz Malasinski. He’s been firing in the goals in his last 5 games and he topped it all off with a superb penalty shot on Sunday night against the Leeds Knights. He’s box office, he’s one of the best players in the league(if not THE best!) and he loves Swindon as much as you love him. He’s in form right now and is looking to continue this against the Bees and the Tigers.
