It’s November’s biggest dilemma, whatever year it is, do you attend the Bonfire Night Fireworks or the Ice Hockey? Well, if you’re sat on the fence this year, maybe these are reasons why you should pick the latter for 2022!

1. Fireworks last 20 minutes, we’ll have ice hockey on for at least 2.5 hours! It’s just basic value for money really! Sure, the fireworks are nice, but the hockey has more entertainment than just 20 minutes! Plus do the maths, that’s almost 8 fireworks display for one hockey match!

2. Probably the most obvious reason is this. If it rains, you’ll get soaked. If it rains at the hockey, you’ll stay nice and dry! The temperature may be similar but it’s tough standing in a wet field for the fireworks!

3. Do the fireworks have comps like 50/50, Shirt Off the Back, or Chuck A Puck? Didn’t think so. There’s not much more to say on that front! We’ve also got Pheobe Maddison performing in the ice rink before the game!

4. New Years Eve 2022, we’ve got a game at 4PM, so save your firework fix and go for New Years. Why? Because you’ll get TWO games of hockey and ONE bigger firework display to bring in 2023. Sounds like a dream to us!

5. Lastly, if you can’t wait for your firework fix and you want to celebrate Bonfire Night. We get it, we want to as well. So, have a look online, and pick out Friday night firework displays around Swindon and then attend the game on Saturday! We know they’re out there so you get the best of both worlds.

There you have it, we won’t judge you if you decide Fireworks is the one for you, but with Fireworks on the ice at the Link Centre we know where we’d spend our Saturday night! PLUS save money this week by booking standing tickets for JUST £5  (RRP £13.50) or book seating for only £9.99 (RRP £16.50 – offer ends Friday 4th November)
