Hey everyone,
Last weekend really was a mixed bag of results for us. Everyone was disappointed to go down like we did against Bristol on Friday night, especially with it being the first competitive derby of the season.
However, Saturday I thought it was our best performance of the season so far. We knew we needed to bounce back in style and taking on the unbeaten MK was arguably the perfect fixture for us at the time. I thought the boys did a superb job throughout the game and in particular Marrsy pulled off some massive stops when we needed him too.
Everyone will be talking about either that Plewsey hit or that Malasinski goal but the work everyone did on the ice was spot on, the challenge is now to take that into this weekend.
Considering the teams, we’re playing are the same, the differences in the games will be massive. MK will want revenge on Saturday and their rink is bigger than ours. We have to be aware of positioning and keep to our systems to come out of there with a result.
Then Sunday Bristol are coming to Swindon and we get chance to put right the poor performance of last Friday.
It’s surely going to be another difficult weekend, but there is no easy weekend in the National league this year, and that’s what’s so exciting about it!
