Hey everyone,
It was so good to get back to winning ways with a four-point weekend against the Tigers and the Raiders.
On Saturday I thought we played a good game of hockey. It was a little frustrating to go into the first period a goal down, but we came back well and had a good middle period. Bali got us going before Tomasz’s superb goal. It was nice on a personal level to get back on the scoresheet too, it was a brilliant pass from Reed.
We controlled the third period well thanks to more goals from CJ & Bali. CJ has been awesome for us this year and he continues to impress.
On Sunday I thought we played well. The game was a little tense going to 2-2 however Colby took the game by the scruff of its neck and was a big part in extending our lead to 2-6 going into the third.
Colby quietly goes about his job but has been a big player for us this year. He’s a great guy and his hard work is turning into points now and that’s great for him and good for us too.
Looking ahead to this weekend we have our Teddy Bear Toss game against Hull, we know it’s going to be a difficult game for us. Their team has got better with Themar arriving, and they’re starting to get some results.
We’ve then got a long trip to Leeds to take on the Knights who are flying. We’ve had some good results in that rink but this one is going to be the hardest trip of the year so far; it’ll be good to have Tyler back on the ice for this one!
