Hey everyone,

Last weekend wasn’t a great weekend for us in terms of results. We were hoping to get our Autumn Cup campaign underway, but it really didn’t go to plan.

On Friday night we needed to start quickly against Leeds, and it just didn’t happen, they had the long trip and the tired bus legs and sadly we couldn’t take advantage of that. On Saturday night we gave ourselves the best chance to get a result thanks to both of Emil’s goals in the first period.

In the middle period on Saturday, it really kind of summed up the weekend. We conceded two bad goals in quick succession which turned the game on his head, and the rest as they say is history.

We’re focused this week on putting it right. We have to work harder as a team all over the ice and we have to capitalise on the chances when we get them. If we don’t do that, we won’t win games and will be punished, and last weekend proved this.

It was disappointing to hear today the game in Milton Keynes has had to be postponed, but it allows us to focus all our attention on Saturday’s game with Peterborough. Slava always makes them hard to play against and it’s a big game for us.

We have to win our last four games to give us the chance of getting through in the Autumn Cup and that starts on Saturday. We’re not aware at the moment when the re-arranged game will be but we’ll be ready for it.

The team are desperate to get some points on the board and more importantly get back to winning ways on home ice.

Don’t forget to make lots of noise this weekend.
