Last weekend was another inconsistent one for us, but we improved as the weekend went on and that was a good thing for us.
Friday we were not good, again we started slowly, and we left ourselves too much to do to come back into the game and although we made it close, the Bees were deserved winners.
On Saturday it was imperative for us to get the win, especially after losing the night before. There really was only one outcome, however it was also disappointing to have had the game go to a shootout considering the position we were in.
We controlled the game well, and some silly penalties at the end nearly cost us a win. We scored three nice penalty shots which was pleasing to see because that’s a pressure environment.
Sunday, I thought we were terrific. The first period Tomasz took the team on his back and scored a brilliant hat-trick, and in the middle period Renny was superb between the pipes. In the third period as a team, we controlled the game well and I don’t think the result was ever in doubt.
This weekend sees us take on Hull and Leeds in two very tough tests. Hull have been improving since everyone has bene available to them and we know how dangerous Emil can be.
On Sunday we’re going up against the best team in the league. They’ve only got stronger since we played them last with Mac Howlett and their new import coming in. They had a tough weekend last time out and will be looking forward to putting a big show in front of their fans again.
