It was so good to be back on the ice with back-to-back wins against Bristol last weekend. It was also really pleasing to have such a big crowd in the rink last Friday night! It was our biggest crowd since pre-covid which is a great starting spot.
We’re halfway through the pre-season schedule now and we’re in a good spot. Lee and I had made a few changes over the summer to the way we would shape up and I think we put that into practice quite well.
Things will only get tougher this weekend with Telford coming to town. They’re the back-to-back league champions for a reason. They have lost a couple of players over the summer, but there are so many key parts of that team still there.
We chose this pre-season schedule to test us, and so far, I think it has been worth it. We’re going to have another good week in training, and I know the team are excited to get back out on the ice this weekend.
