Hey all,

I hope you’re having a good week.

Last weekend was another disappointing weekend from our point of view. Looking back on Saturday I generally thought we played well, but we let in goals at the worst possible times which never really allowed us to press on with the momentum we had.

Obviously, the injury to Matty Davies was a tough moment for everyone in the game and all we can do is wish him the best and hope to see him back soon. Similarly, for Renny we hope we’ll have him back in the line-up soon.

Sunday was another tough game, but we didn’t start well enough and being 6-1 down in a game is always a mountain to climb, even more so when you are away from home.

Ultimately, we’re disappointed to not at least get one win on the board, but it gives us lessons to learn in practice this week.

We know Friday will be a very tough game against MK. The Lightning are a good team and they’ll be eager to beat us after we got the win against them a couple of weeks back. We have to be much smarter than we were in Leeds, and also very disciplined. The last time we played there we lost and took too many silly penalties.

The Steeldogs on Saturday will again be a tough task, but this weekend is crucial if we want to keep the pressure on the Tigers. We need to get four points on the board as both MK and Sheffield will be chasing us down as we push towards the playoffs.

Lastly, I’d personally like to welcome the Bristol Pitbulls into the National League for next season. We’re excited to hit the ice in the first Swindon/Bristol game next year and hope it will become a great rivalry on the ice!

Make lots of noise this weekend if you can, and don’t forget our March Madness Season Tickets are on sale now as well!

Thanks,

Aaron
