Hey everyone,
I hope you’ve had a good week.
Looking back to last Saturday it wasn’t good enough. We know we must be better, and as I said on the interview, it’s about actions now. We have a good hockey team in our locker-room and it’s up to us to show the fans this. We truly appreciate the support you give us, and we acknowledge that on Saturday what we showed you was far from our best.
That said, take nothing away from the Bees they came with a game plan and executed it perfectly.
Sunday, I thought we did what we needed too. Going to Hull is always a long trip and they’re a desperate hockey team who are getting much closer to their first home win. We did a professional job and after the Bees game that is all we wanted as a team.
Looking ahead to this week, we’ve got the league leaders coming to town on Saturday and what more is there to say other than they’re good!
Ryan has put together a team which covers all bases and unless we’re at our best then we’re not going to get anything from the game. They’ve got good goaltending, good imports and some good British players.
Then on Sunday going to Peterborough is never a fun trip, it’s a unique rink and they play to their strengths in their own barn, and currently are flying near the top of the table as well.
We’ve played our best when our backs are against the wall, and it’s important we find that mentality again this weekend.
