Hey Everyone,
Three points were much needed for us last weekend, it’s no secret to say we’ve not picked up the points we would have liked recently so it was nice to get back to a good collection of points last week.
The Sheffield game was a tough one to take as we had the chances to get the extra point in overtime as well as in the shootout, but the shootout is a lottery and from 2-5 down I think we must be happy to have fought back and got that bonus point.
Going into Sunday the pressure was there to ensure we won the game in regulation, and I was happy with the effort of the team, especially without Plewsey and Bully. Our powerplay was good in Slough and if we have a good powerplay we’ll do well in games.
Of course, it was a good moment to see Renny get his first ever goal, it may not have bene conventional, but they all count and it’s a nice moment for him and one I’m sure he’ll look back on through his career.
Taking on the Tigers and Raiders this weekend will be another tough one for us. They’re the two teams around us in the table and we’ll have to ensure we play for 120 minutes to have any chance of getting the 4 points.
We know we’ll be without Plewsey again this weekend, so we’ll have to be defensively responsible, but fingers crossed we’ll have Bully back in the line-up on Saturday.
