The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are delighted to confirm that we have selected the Sheffield Steeldogs to be our opponents for the upcoming NIHL National Cup Semi Finals.

Games with the Steeldogs always promise to be exciting, physical games of hockey with the recent double header last weekend continuing in this trait. The first leg of the semi-final will be played at iceSheffield on Friday 18th February.

The second, and deciding leg, will be held in Swindon on Saturday 19th February in our usual 6:30PM face-off slot. Whilst the semi-final will not be a part of the Season Ticket for the fans, there will be information soon to inform you of how you’ll be able to secure your seat for the game.

Speaking after confirming our semi-final opponents Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

Whoever we played in the semi-finals of the National Cup would be stern competition and we know we’re in for a tough match up with the Steeldogs. However, with the success of the Autumn Cup behind us, we know what we need to do to make it to another final.

Greg Wood and his team will be looking to make it through to the final as well and I know the boys will be excited by these games, there is nothing quite as exciting about 120 minutes of knockout hockey and we can’t wait until the middle of February.

Hopefully, with the home game being on the Saturday, we’ll have a huge crowd in to cheer us on!

Ticket information will be released soon so stay tuned to our social media channels for these announcements, but make sure you clear your diaries because there’s more Cup Hockey coming to Swindon very soon!
