The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are delighted to confirm our second returning player of the week, with the confirmation that Edgars Bebris has extended his contract for another season with the club.

Eddie has been a revelation since arriving from the Coventry Blaze in 2017 and will be entering his 7th season with the club.

The former Manchester, Peterborough and Sheffield player has found a new lease of life since moving back as a defenceman last year and has continued to excel in this role during this year’s campaign.

Last season Eddie contributed 48 points in 56 games and is on pace to post similar numbers by the end of this season.

Head Coach Aaron Nell had the following to say after confirming another name on the 24/25 roster.

Eddie is another crucial piece to our puzzle. He’s been a big part of our on-ice successes and since moving back to D his role with the team has grown massively. There are very few players in this league who can battle with him along the boards and his strength is one of his biggest assets.

As he used to play as a forward, he knows how to move the puck well and this skill is another big plus for us. The fans love him, and the boys love him too. Getting Eddie, CJ and Plewsey signed up this early is big and gives us a great platform to build onto for 24/25.
