The Supporters Club would like to thank everyone who attended the End of Season Party and Presentation at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel on Friday 19th April. The event was a massive success and a great end to our League Title winning season.
Throughout the evening several awards were given out, some official, some not, but the main intention was to have fun with everyone connected with the Wildcats.
Supporters Club Chairman Paul Norbury commented “I owe a massive thank you to all the sponsors who donated prizes for the raffle, to Neil and Vicky Davidson for sponsoring the Player of the Year award, and to Butterfly Balloons for their sponsorship, decorations and the use of their selfie mirror. However, the biggest thank you’s must go to Sally Price for her help and support, to Ben Callaghan for all the time and effort he put into this and for putting up with my ‘sometimes unreasonable’ requests, but most of all to my wife Sally and close friends Nigel and Melanie Beckett (and our respective families) for their dedication to putting on a fantastic event. I am sure there are plenty of other people who helped and it is not possible to list them all, so thank you to everyone, it wouldn’t have been possible without your support”.
Over 175 people, including players, off-ice staff and volunteers attended the event and with ticket sales, the raffle and money from sponsorship, the profit from the event was over £900. This money will go directly towards the cost of coach travel for the team next season and is another example of the support given to the team by the supporters.

Thank you once again to everyone who came and supported the event and for the many people who do so much behind the scenes during the season. The Supporters Club will be back for a new season in August, with more ideas to make the club bigger and better than before. We encourage all fans to get involved, it is after all your Club. The next event will be a ‘Picnic in the Park’, it will be held at Lydiard Park in Swindon sometime between the end of May and the middle of June. Further details will be announced on social media in due course.
