The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are delighted to confirm the first three returning players ahead of the 21/22 NIHL National Season. Sam Bullas, Renny Marr & Tomasz Malasinski will all be returning to continue their multi-year contracts with the organisation.

Whilst none of the three players needs any introduction to the Wildcats fanbase, Captain Sam Bullas will be entering his 13th season with the club, whilst last year was limited to just 18 games of hockey, Bully has iced in over 500 games for the team and Captained the side for back to back seasons now. It wouldn’t be a Wildcats side without our #13 leading from the front.

Between the pipes Renny Marr will once again take on our #1 Netminder role. Having moved to the side from Coventry in the summer of 2017, Renny has gone from strength to strength in the pipes. Still only 23, Renny consistently battles it out at the top end of the Netminding charts giving the team a great chance to win every night he plays.

Last but not least, former Polish international Tomasz Malasinski will be back again having compiled 77 points in 19-20 and also led the team in scoring with 17 points from the 12 games in the 2021 Spring Cup. With a lethal shot and a great all-round hockey game, Tomasz will no doubt be flying high once the season gets underway later this year.

Speaking after confirming the return of three crucial pieces Head Coach Aaron Nell added:

“We’re obviously delighted to have Bully, Renny and Tomasz back in Swindon again. For different reasons they are the three guys we build our team around. Bully has been here for years and is our leader, Renny is one of the best netminders in the National league and is only getting better each year and Tomasz is one of the best players in the league.

I can’t wait to be back working with these three and whilst confirming their contracts was a simple process they will be vital parts in any successes we have in the upcoming season. I know how excited the fans will be to see them back in Swindon jerseys!”.
