The next returning face to The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats for the 24/25 season has been confirmed with confirmation that Josh Shaw is returning to the team.

Josh is another product of the Swindon junior set up, making his debut for the club back in the 21/22 season. After a year with the Bristol Pitbulls, Josh returned to Swindon last summer and contributed 13 points in all competitions for the Cats.

As well as his time with the Cats, Josh has been a prominent figure for Team GB with two tournaments at U18 level, and one tournament in Dumfries with the U20 last December.

Having only turned 18 last season, Josh is another young player with a tremendous future ahead of him and Head Coach Aaron Nell is delighted to have him back in Swindon again.

I’m excited to bring Josh back for another year, he’s a very talented young ice hockey player and I think he’s got a high ceiling. He’s fast across the ice and he’s got tremendous ability with the puck.

Josh is a great young man as well, his attitude is correct and he is a very hard worker. I’m excited to see how he grows over the course of another year.

Meanwhile, Josh himself added:

“I’m really happy to be back for the 24/25 season, Swindon has always been my home since starting playing ice hockey and last year was unbelievable with the group of people we had and our togetherness. The supporters and match night helpers are the heart of the club and can’t wait to carry on playing front of such passionate fanbase.

I want to carry on improving my game each year and increase the impact I have on the game so I will be working hard in the summer to make that happen!
