On Saturday night the Wildcats came from 4-2 down to beat the Pitbulls 8-5 at the Link Centre.

With Chris Jones signing a contract extension for next season he marked it off with a lovely goal!

Chris Jones opened the scoring early into the first with a lovely wrist shot past Tyler Perre in the Pitbulls goal, timed at 1:49.

Just under a minute later, Malasinski doubled the Cats lead by sneaking the puck through Perre.

The Pitbulls pulled one back through Caly Robertson who placed it past Marr at 10:29.

End of the first period: Wildcats 2-1 Pitbulls

The Pitbulls started the period on the front foot with Ed Bradley squeezing the puck over the line past Marr at 20:30.

Bradley then grabbed his second and gave Pitbulls the lead with a tap in at the back post at 26:33.

Mason Lipsey then extended the Pitbulls lead to two with a first time shot straight past Marr at 28:51.

Colby Tower pulled one back for the Cats with a lovely finish to get back within one at 32:59.

Russell Cowley then squared it all

up again with a finish past Perre at 39:05. However the period wasn’t done yet as Ben Solder slap shot the puck through Marr’s legs to end a jam packed period.

End of the second period: Wildcats 4-4 Pitbulls

Malasinski got his second of the game squeezing the puck through Perre to tie it up again at 44:20.

Reed then gave the Cats their lead back shooting the puck straight through Perre’s legs to make it 6-5.

Just under a minute later Tower then got on the scoresheet tapping the puck past Perre at 50:24.

Aaron Nell then capped off the game with an empty net goal to seal maximum points for the Cats.
