Sunday evening the Wildcats headed to Bracknell to take on the Bees in their last fixture before Christmas. With only Ben Nethersell absent from the line-up and Michael Crisp the rested netminder the Wildcats travelled nearly at full strength.

Despite chances falling at both ends of the ice the opening period would close with the game still tied at 0-0. Eddie Bebris and Aaron Nell probably having the best chances in the opening stanza as Danny Milton pulled off some good saves in the Bees goal. Meanwhile at the other end Renny Marr was standing tall to deny the likes of Tyler VanKleef and Shaun Thompson.

The Bees would be the side who scored the first goal at 26:21 when Tyler Vankeef sped down the left wing and fired a low slapshot past Renny Marr giving the hosts the 1-0 lead. At 32:09 they doubled their lead with a shorthanded goal. Josh Smith saw his shot saved by Marr but the rebound popped back up to him and he was able to slam the puck into the net at 32:09.

The scoring for the second period would finish there as the Wildcats headed into the second period break with an uphill task ahead of them to get anything out of the game.

Their task got harder at 46:28 when the Bees scored their third goal of the game through Josh Martin. A puck from Stuart Mogg was put on net and after it bouncing around the crease Josh Martin was able to fire the puck above the legs of Marr and make it 3-0 on the night.

At 54:11 the Wildcats found themselves on a powerplay and some bold and positive coaching saw Renny Marr head to the bench and the Wildcats have 6 on 4. At 55:12 the decision paid off when Sam Jones was able to fire a big shot from the point into the back of the net, with the assists going to Chris Jones and Max Birbraer.

Renny Marr again went to the bench shortly after and at 57:53 the move worked again, this time Sam Jones turned provider as he slid the puck across to the left side where Chris Jones fired the puck over the line to bring the Wildcats within a goal.

There was enough for one more roll of the dice with Renny heading to the bench a third time, only for Aidan Doughty to this time score on the empty net and seal the 4-2 win for the Bees as the Wildcats rounded off their fixtures before Christmas.
