The Swindon Wildcats put on a show beating the Sheffield Steeldogs 4-7

The Wildcats started their three game weekend off with a brilliant 4-7 victory over the Steeldogs in Sheffield.

Tomasz Malasinski put on a show racking up five points including a highlight reel goal.

Glenn Billing also showed his class with two goals and an assist on the night.

Game Report:

The Wildcats started on the front foot with Aaron Nell firing the puck past Dima Zimozdra
Assisted by Malasinski and Billing.

Malasinski then received the puck, tapped it past Bell and rounded the keeper to make it 2-0 assisted by Whitfield and Billing.

The Cats then wrapped the first period with another great team goal, Malasinski feeding the puck to Billing who tapped it into the empty net.

End of the first: Steeldogs 0-3 Wildcats

The Steeldogs responded well with Vulkanovs chipping the puck past Perre.

However Straight from faceoff Pakozdi finds himself 1 on 1 and slotted it past Zimozdra.

Doxey then found himself in the slot and sniped the puck through Perre to reduce the deficit to two.

The Wildcats were then awarded a goal as Billing was about to score in the empty net but the Dogs pushed the net off.

Tower then joined in on the action and slap shot the puck into the top corner on the powerplay. Assisted by Malasinski.

End of the second: Steeldogs 2-6 Wildcats

Tower then scored his second of the night with the perfect tip in bar down. Assisted by Johnson and Cowley.

The Dogs responded well though with Turner firing the shot into the bottom corner. Assisted by Cutts and Jack Brammer.

Vulkanovs then grabbed his second on the powerplay. The perfect pass from Bissonette for a tap in at the back post.

The Wildcats closed the game out to take the first victory of the weekend
