Friday Night saw the Wildcats return to the Better Link Centre to face off against the Sheffield Steeldogs in a re-arranged fixture from earlier on in the season.
Captain Sam Bullas returned to the lineup alongside Jacob Minter making his first appearance of the season. After 20 minutes the scoreline remained 0-0 after neither side were able to get the pack past the opposition netminders.
Into the middle stanza and the hockey was more of the same until Jason Hewitt was able to fire the puck past Tyler Perre on the powerplay with less than 5 minutes to play in the period.
As the third period started, the Cats had a one goal deficit to overcome however despite pressing on and testing Daniel Crowe between the Steeldogs goal it would not be enough. With Tyler Perre on the bench for the extra skater, Matt Bissonnette was able to add a late empty net goal to ensure the Dogs ran out 0-2 winners on the night.
