Heading into the second weekend of pre-season, the Wildcats returned to the Link Centre looking to add a third win of the season, against local rivals the Bristol Pitbulls.

The first period started with chances at both ends of the ice but it would be the visitors who opened the scoring through Mason Lipsey on the powerplay. Later in the first period, Gael Lubwele made it 3 goals in 3 games with a short handed equaliser as the first 20 finished 1-1.

The middle period would be one filled with goals. After an Owen Sobchak ejection, Tomasz Malasinski added a second goal for the Wildcats to make it 2-1. Within a minute the Pitbulls levelled when Juha Lindgren finished low in front of Renny Marr. The Pitbulls added a third goal when Bayley Harewood found a fortunate bounce deflect off him and past Marr to see the second period finish 2-3 to Bristol.

The third period the Wildcats scored 3 goals which got them back in control of the game. Within the first three minutes Glenn Billing scored a game-tying goal before Reed Sayers added a fourth for the Cats. Chris Jones added what would be the game winning goal before a late Adam Harding goal got the Pitbulls back within one.

The game finished 5-4 in favour of Swindon with Glenn Billing getting the man of the match award. The Cats are back on home ice next Saturday against the Sheffield Steeldogs!
