In our final pre-season game The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats travelled down the M4 to take on the Bristol Pitbulls.

With a few names missing from the Wildcats line-up the game would prove to be a difficult challenge for the Cats and the first period proved just that.

With lots of penalty killing to be done the Cats found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline at the end of the first 20 minutes. The goal coming from the stick of Juha Lindgren.

In the middle stanza the game felt much more settled down and the visitors scored the only goal of the period when former Bristol forward Josh Shaw levelled the game at 1-1. The youngster skated from his own zone and lifted the puck past Norton in the Bristol goal.

Heading into the third period the score remained at 1-1.

A Josh Shaw goal early in the third period gave the Wildcats a 1-2 lead but unfortunately for the visitors, two late powerplay goals from Nik Coric and Ralfs Circenis turned the game in favour of Bristol.

In the final minute of the game Nik Coric added a late empty net goal to seal a 4-2 win for Bristol.
