The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats secured their first win of the season thanks to a 1-5 victory on the road against the Raiders.

The Cats opened the scoring within the first 30 seconds, however the goal was washed out. From the following face-off Glenn Billing was able to tip a Stevie Whitfield shot from the point to open the scoring. The Raiders levelled the game up when Adam Laishram scrambled a puck in close to make it 1-1.

Later that period Chris Jones was able to add his first goal of the season when he followed up after some good work from Tower & Lubwele.

Into the middle period and it turned into the Tomasz Malasinski show, with the former Polish international adding a powerplay goal before a second goal for himself following up on a rebound from Ethan James in the Raiders goal.

The final period started with a 1-4 lead for the Cats and a fifth goal was added through an unlikely name when Sam Godfrey added another goal from the blue-line.

The final buzzer sounded and the Wildcats secure their first win of the season making it three points from their opening three games.

Next weekend there is just the one home game for the Cats with another trip to Romford to take on the Raiders.
