The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats headed to Shropshire on Sunday evening for their only game of the weekend, running out 1-4 victors against the Telford Tigers.

A rapid start saw the Cats open the scoring within the first minute when Aaron Nell scored his first goal of the evening after just 54 seconds. Midway through the first period the lead was doubled when Sam Bullas found room in front of the net to make it 0-2.

Towards the end of the opening stanza Gael Lubwele scored a goal with a superb snipe off the post to give the Cats the 0-3 lead going into the second break.

The middle period would see the Tigers get a goal back thanks to a first Telford goal for Jaden Peca who reduced the scoreline to 1-3. However in the final minutes of the period the Cats re-instated their three goal lead with Aaron Nell adding a second goal of the night thanks to a lovely pass from Tomasz Malasinski.

The third and final period would be one where the Cats controlled the contest and played some wonderful shut-down hockey to ensure the points remained with the visitors on the trip back to Swindon.

Next weekend sees the Cats complete another single game weekend with a visit to Slough to take on the Bees.

MOM for the Cats in Telford was Gael Lubwele .
