Sunday evening saw the Wildcats secure a four point weekend thanks to an overtime winning goal from Edgars Bebris against the Raiders IHC.

The first period finished with a 1-1 scoreline thanks to a Colby Tower goal cancelling out a Tjay Anderson Raiders goal scored in the first minute of the period.

The middle stanza would prove to be a bit of a goal fest but it would be the Raiders who took the lead through their captain Aaron Connolly. Josh Shaw was on hand to even the game up, with his first goal of the season to make it 2-2. The visitors managed two quick goals first through Joe Tomalin before Adam Laishram added his sides fourth of the game.

With the period coming to a close there was enough time for Glenn Billinb to get his name on the scoresheet before Colby Tower tied the game up at 4-4 with his second goal of the game.

Into the final period and Tomasz Malasinski added a powerplay goal to give the hosts the lead for the first time. Adam Laishram was able to tie the game up within the last five minutes to force overtime.

In the extra period Gael Lubwele sped down the right wing and flicked the puck to Eddie Bebris at the back door to seal the extra point, and the four point weekend going into the second leg of the cup semi final on Thursday night.
