“On behalf of the players and staff I’d like to thank all the fans who travelled to Sheffield last night for their unbelievable levels of support in the NIHL National Cup Final first leg.

For over 100 fans to travel to Sheffield on a Wednesday night was incredible. Everyone had a long journey up there and it really lifted the boys when we looked up at the away block and it was full of red and white jerseys.

The players really appreciated the efforts of all of you, we heard there was some big traffic issues on the way back for the Supporters Bus which meant they didn’t get back to Swindon until 4am. The support we have had on the road all season has been incredible but last night was at yet another level.

We are lucky to have you all following us all on the road, and with one game left now we need that level of support in the Better Link Centre on Sunday as we look to complete our Cup Double and end the 17/18 season off in style.

Special thanks must go to Paul Norbury and Cardwave for putting on the coach and organising it for everyone. Without his continued support from Cardwave, as well as his involvement with the Supporters Club, our away days would be a lot harder. Getting the coach to the games makes a massive difference to the players and we are so thankful for Paul and his business for allowing us to travel like that.

Thank you all again for your support, we’ll see you Sunday and let’s end the season in style!”
