The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats are pleased to confirm that Tyler Perre has become the latest name on the 23/24 Planet Ice NIHL National Division roster.

Tyler, another Swindon born player, has spent the last two years with the Bristol Pitbulls. This season he moves back down the M4 to join the Cats, who he made his senior debut for in 2018.

The 22-year-old will complete the netminding tandem alongside Scottish shot-stopper Renny Marr who re-signed earlier in the year.

During his previous time in Swindon, Tyler was part of the team who won the 2018-19 NIHL South 1 league title. He also won a silver medal with Team GB in the 19-20 season at the Under 20 World Championships, where he played in 3 games posting a 2.07 GAA and a .912 Save Percentage.

Speaking after bringing Tyler back to the club Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

Bringing Tyler back is another good move for the club. He’s a Swindon boy who will come in and compete very hard throughout the course of the season. Renny and Tyler both know each other well and they will push each other every training session for the starting job.

Tyler’s game has grown over the last couple of years and hopefully he’ll continue to make that step again this year. He was always a popular guy in our locker-room and I’m sure he’ll fit in just as well when the season comes around.
