With the longest days past us, the preparations for the new Planet Ice NIHL National Division season are moving forward, we’re pleased to be announcing our pre-season fixtures for September!

This year we’ll be taking on the Bees IHC & Bristol Pitbulls as part of a four-game challenge schedule which will ensure we’re ready to kick things off properly in mid-September.

The Bees are a team we’ve competed with for many years now and with them being settled following their move to Slough the recruitment this year has shown a team ready to improve on last season. With Vanya Antonov back in their lineup and pickups from Basingstoke including Liam Morris and Brendan Baird they’ll be a team who are ready to play every night.

We’ll be taking on the Bees on Saturday 9th September in Swindon, before travelling to Slough on Sunday 10thSeptember for the return match. Get your tickets for our home game against Bees IHC HERE!

The following week we’ll be taking on Bristol in a rivalry which has developed over the course of last season.

Bristol once again have shown ambition by bringing in the likes of Reece Cochrane from the EIHL and Ralfs Circenis from Peterborough whilst also retaining big players such as Ed Bradley, Mason Lipsey and Owen Sobchak for another year. To add to the atmosphere a few Ex Pitbulls will be in our line-up with Reece Kelly, Josh Shaw and Tyler Perre all making the move down the M4.

We’ll be taking the Pitbulls on in Swindon on Saturday 16th September before travelling down to the pound on Sunday 17th September. Head Coach Aaron Nell said:

Confirming our pre-season schedule is another step closer to the season getting underway. Both Bristol and the Bees will give us a good test going into the new season and they’re games which we know our fans will be backing us all the way for.

The team is complete and with these games confirmed the excitement is building and I know we can’t wait to get back on the ice in just under 2 months time!”.
